Dear Nicola – What a successful event the Marina Opening function was on Saturday, largely due to your wonderful organisational abilities.  Thank you so much for going above and beyond the call of duty.  Your attention to detail was incredible – from sourcing the singer, the props, plates, glasses, tablecloths, lights, portaloos, heaters, plants and tents etc, to setting up the day before, being on site through the function and clearing up to leave the site pristine the day after.  You are amazing.  You took all the stress out of the event for us and allowed us to just enjoy the occasion.  Thanks again Nicola for your part in making it a very special occasion.

Nicola from Ruby Lane Events was our wedding planner and coordinator for our wedding at Tawharanui Lodge Jan 24th 2015. I had very definite plans and idea about how I wanted our celebration to be, but I wanted a wedding planner so that hopefully, I could have someone take over everything on the day, co-ordinate and execute all of the set up and running of the event so I could just relax and enjoy! I also wanted to find somebody locally based near where our wedding was taking place, to have local contacts and other useful information! Well luck must have been on my side because after meeting Nicola, I couldn’t imagine anyone more perfect to step into the role I had imagined… plus helping in so many other ways I couldn’t have even thought of. Nicola is super friendly and relaxed to work with, and she is amazingly organised which is just what you need when planning a large and important event. Her spreadsheets were a lifesaver, nothing was forgotten and no detail left out. She accommodated and assisted with all of my crazy ideas, and would be a excellent choice if you also wanted a planner to take more of the styling and details out of your hands too! Nicola, you were the best help anybody could ever ask for on our wedding day. The 2 weeks before the wedding is such a busy time, with family arriving from overseas, friends coming over and you have a lot of entertaining to do over that 2 weeks. Having you there was great, if I needed things to be done that I couldn’t get to, I was able to let you know, and you got immediately onto it and had it sorted as I desired. Your spreadsheets are amazing, so clear and very easy to understand, best run sheets I have ever seen! Your co-ordinating on the day was fantastic. Everything went smoothly without any hitches at all. Making sure photos were on time and organising the families to be at the photos on time. You set up the reception just the way I pictured in my head and it looked so amazing! I could go on and on about how amazing you were and how you are so organised with everything and you do everything so well and put so much energy and effort into things, without any fuss. I would recommend you to any Bride that is after a wedding planner or just a coordinator for the day. I just wanted to say thank you to the wonderful Nicola for making our wedding a magical day.  We unfortunately had a useless wedding planner and so, without Nicola stepping in at the 11th hour, our wedding would have been a disaster.  She took the reins and helped us with it all, even the little details like helping us pick our wedding song, teaching the best man how to do his speech (and ensuring he didn’t forget to thank everyone!), plus also helping me sort out my flowers for my head which our wedding planner had forgotten to arrange!  Nicola also stood firmly by my groom and convinced the resort venue to have the ceremony outside when they were concerned about the weather and trying to move it all indoors (my heart was set on an outdoors wedding).  She had all bases covered, from having safety pins handy to pin my train through to organizing fans at the reception when the air-conditioning died.  I would highly recommend Nicola to anyone who is looking for a caring and super-organised wedding planner – I promise you will not regret it.  Thank you Nicola.
